       ANSI (American National Standard Institute 美国国家标准协会)

　　Founded in 1918, ANSI has served in its capacity as administrator and coordinator of the United Statesprivate sector voluntary standardization system. ANSI promotes the use of U.S. standards internationally, advocates

　　U.S. policy and technical positions in international and regional standards organizations and encouragesthe adoption of internal standards as national standards where these meet the needs of the user community.

　　ANSI does not itself develop American National Standards; rather it facilitates development by establishingconsensus among the ANSI member associations such as ASTM, SAE, ASME, etc.

　　ANSI成立于1918年，是美国的私营非盈利标准化组织，它已经是管理者和协调者的地位。ANSI推动了美国标准的国际化使用，在国际和区域标准组织间推广美国政策和技术地位，鼓励采用符合使用者需求的国内标准作为国家标准。ANSI自身并不制定美国国家标准，而是致力于推动ANSI的成员组织ASTM、SAE、ASME等取得一致意见。

　　ASTM is a scientific and technical organization formed for “the development of standards on characteristicsand performance of materials, products, systems, and services; and the promotion of related knowledge.”

　　Through technical committees, ASTM publishes standard test methods, specifications, practices,guides,classifications and terminology. ASTM standards cover metals, paints, plastics, textiles, petroleum,construction, the environment, medical services, electronics, fasteners and many other areas.

　　ASTM是为“制定材料、产品、系统和服务的特性和性能的标准，并推广相关知识”而成立的一个科研机构。作为技术协会，ASTM出版试验方法、规范、惯例、指南、分类和术语等标准，其标准覆盖了金属、涂料、塑料、纺织品、石油、建筑、能源、环境、医疗服务、电子、紧固件和许多其他领域。
